Warnings & Precautions

Charging

• For Emergency Lighting Use: This battery is designed for use in emergency lighting fixtures with constant-potential (float) chargers (typically ~4.5V - 5.0V).

• Use Compatible Chargers Only. Do not use chargers designed for Li-ion or Lead-Acid batteries.

• Never exceed the maximum charge voltage of 5.0V.

• Avoid charging at temperatures below 0°C or above 45°C.

Discharging

• Avoid deep discharge below 3.0V (pack voltage). Deep discharging can shorten lifespan.

• Do not short-circuit the terminals. High short-circuit current can cause overheating and terminal damage.

• Ensure proper ventilation around the battery during operation, especially in enclosed fixtures.

Storage

• For long-term storage, store in a cool, dry place at a state of charge of approximately 40-50%.

• Recharge every 6-12 months during storage to compensate for self-discharge and prevent capacity loss due to sulfation.
